About Us

Built by People Who Have Been on Both Sides of the Counter.

Some of us on the tools, some in the supply chain — and all of us tired of watching the same problems repeat.

The team, at the facility
Our story

The technical work and the supply work should not be done by strangers.

Chantrae-Technics was founded in Bangkok in 2016 by a small team who had spent years in aviation — some on the tools, some in the supply chain — and had grown tired of watching the same problems repeat.

Parts arrived without the certification the engineer actually needed. Repair quotes were approved without anyone reading the workscope. An aircraft sat waiting for a component that was in a warehouse two hours away, while three companies emailed each other about whose responsibility it was.

When the person sourcing your part is in the same building as the technician who will install it, the whole thing gets faster and considerably safer. We chose Bangkok deliberately — the Free Zone at Lat Krabang gives our clients a customs-efficient hub in the middle of the world’s fastest-growing aviation market.

We are not the largest company in this industry. We do not intend to be. We intend to be the one you call first.

What we actually mean by “values”

Here is what ours cost us when we follow them.

We Do Not Overstate What We Can Do

Our approvals cover what they cover. When work falls outside our scope, we say so and we manage it through a shop that is approved for it. You will never find out the hard way that we were working at the edge of our capability.

Traceability First

We do not sell a part we cannot document. This means we walk away from deals other traders take. We would rather lose the margin than put you in front of an auditor with a gap in the paperwork.

Technical Honesty

If your unit is beyond economical repair, you will hear it from us on day one — not after three weeks and an evaluation fee.

We Pick Up the Phone

AOG at 03:00 Bangkok time is still AOG. Someone answers.

Marcus Chantrae, Founder & Managing Director
From the founder

A word from Marcus Chantrae.

I have spent my career in aviation — long enough to know that this industry runs on two things that have nothing to do with logistics or engineering: judgement and trust. The aircraft flies because someone, somewhere, decided that the person on the other end of the phone was reliable.

I started Chantrae-Technics because I wanted to build the company I had spent years wishing I could call. One where the person quoting you the part has actually seen the aircraft. One where “we’ll get back to you” means today. One where, if we make a mistake, you hear it from us before you find it yourself.

I would rather have two hundred clients who call us first than two thousand who send us an enquiry and hope. If that sounds like the kind of company you want to work with, I would like to hear from you.

The people you will actually talk to

No call centres, no ticket numbers.

These are the people who will answer your email — and, on the technical side, the people who will do the work.
